Bangalore: Christians pray against religious persecution

This meeting is the first of its kind in the country. Participants include seven widows whose lost their husbands to violent persecution and over 150 pastors who are victims of it now.

Bangalore (AsiaNews) – India’s “persecuted” Christians are meeting today in Bangalore for the first ecumenical meeting “of prayer and testimony” in the nation’s history. The participants include seven widows whose husbands were killed for their faith and over 150 pastors who have been, or still are, persecuted for their faith in Christianity. The theme of the meeting is: "Thorns…and a crown".
